Combining his skills as a sculptor and photographer, Pascal Giacomini creates 3D mixed-media works that seamlessly incorporate all the elements of the piece at hand—the subject matter as well as the environment that inspired the photo in the first place. In the case of New Orleans post-Katrina, the artist went to salvage yards and used window frames and doors he found there to create his evocative images.
