For fans of Marie Antoinette and her surreal courtesans, there is some good late-breaking news. The whole court has been moved from the Versailles Palace to New Orleans. Pascal Giacomini has transformed his objets d’art into working musical instruments being played with passion by the funk/blues-inflected band, Louisiana Love Act.
A funky band and an inspired sculptor have succeeded in transforming material art into “Nawlins” music. The Queen may have lost her head, but not her groove. La Reine est morte, vive la Reine!
